2022[]
On March 3, 2022, in a press release regarding the previous Musical Isotope Project vocal SEKAI, KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO revealed that all five Virtual Witch Phenomenon singers would be receiving CeVIO AI voices to complete the collection of the Musical Isotope brand.[1]
On July 5, KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO announced the ARTIFICIAL SINGING SYNTHESIZER 1ST ANNIVERSARY PROGRAM live stream event to be held on July 7.[2][3] The event featured voice actress and singer Miyu Tomita joined by KAFU, SEKAI and guest-starring voice providers Isekaijoucho, KAF and RIM who conducted a series of new announcements regarding the Musical Isotope Project.[4] The final announcement of the live stream was a teaser video of the production of two upcoming Musical Isotope CeVIO AI vocals, HARU and COKO, who were based on the virtual singers Harusaruhi and KOKO respectively. COKO was planned to make her debut on July 15.[5]
COKO's illustration by SWAV was officially revealed on July 15 as well as a release date set for winter 2022.[6] The full illustration, official concept artwork, and reference illustrations were released on SWAV's personal Twitter account.[7][8][9]
On October 9, COKO received her own website and a news article on the Musical Isotope website. She was set to release on January 25, 2023, with pre-orders beginning on October 9 and ending on December 12.[10] Two demonstrations of her vocal were shown during the 幸祜 -koko- STREAMING COVER LIVE broadcast event: "the last bullet" and "Dimension", featuring her singing alongside KOKO.[11] The full version of "the last bullet" premiered on October 10 at 6:00 PM JST.
