History[]

2022[]

On May 26, 2022, Chis-A was announced to be releasing for the newly rebranded VoiSona voice synthesis software and is planned to be released on June 2. Chis-A (and the Song Editor itself) were announced to be releasing as a free digital download for both the beta version and the official version that were then in development.[1]

Chis-A was released for VoiSona's (β) beta edition on June 2 as intended. As with the the previous CeVIO Pro version, Chis-A was released with her four iterations of her Song Voice library (1.0.0 - 1.3.0 respectively) with no additional updates noted to the voice itself. It was announced that following the conversion, the previous iteration, CeVIO Pro, would be discontinued along with Chis-A's Song Voice after one month following VoiSona's release.[2] This version was to be discontinued officially as of August 31.[3]

The same day, Techno-Speech, Inc. representative Tsukada Keisuke, through a DTM STATION article, announced that Techno-Speech planned to develop an English version of Chis-A for VoiSona.[4] Chis-A's full VoiSona production version was released on September 1.[5].

2023[]

On February 9, 2023, Techno-Speech, Inc. announced the release date of Chis-A's English Song Voice library, known as Chis-A [tʃíːseɪ] for VoiSona to be released at 12 noon on February 24. A new visual illustrated by cherico was presented and further details were announced. Chis-A [tʃíːseɪ] would be released as a subscription service on the platform, contrary to her Japanese library which would remain free to download. She would be available as a digital download, priced at an annual plan of ¥6600 yen for a one-year license (¥6000 yen excluding tax) or ¥880 yen as a monthly license (¥800 yen excluding tax). To commemorate the release of Chis-A [tʃíːseɪ], Techno-Speech, Inc. announced a free trial campaign allowing users to try Chis-A for free for one month from the date of application when after signing up on the official VoiSona website between the release date on February 24 (12 noon) and February 28, 23:59 (JST).

To be eligible for the trial edition, applicants must access the "Apply for Annual Plan" or "Apply for Monthly Plan" buttons at the bottom of Chis-A's product page and register their credit card information. Applicants could purchase a subscription plan for 0 yen for 1 month. By default, it was noted that after the one-month free period ends, users would be automatically transferred to the first selected subscription plan (either yearly or monthly). If users did not wish to continue the paid subscription after the free period ends, users were directed to access the campaign page during the free period and press the "Cancel Reservation" button. After the free period ends, the automatic renewal process would be turned off.

On August 8, the 2.0 version for Chis-A's Japanese Song Voice was announced and would be released free of charge. Equipped with a new engine, it was noted that the new version provided a higher quality sound output than the previous "1.X" version system.[6][7]

2024[]

On January 31, 2024, Chis-A's English Song Voice was updated to version 2.0. Also, a perpetual subscription plan was launched, and a physical Special Package was announced to be sold at her BOOTH shop starting on February 20.[8]
