On September 29, 2024, Tsukino, a Japanese singer and Utaite, proposed an important announcement to be revealed the following day on September 30 at 9:00 p.m. JST on an official broadcast to be held on her YouTube channel. A pink silhouette of an unknown character was shared with no detail as to what the announcement may be.[1] On September 30, Tsukino, in collaboration with Techno-Speech, Inc. announced the development of an upcoming Japanese Song Voice library based on herself to be released for VoiSona, conceptualized as an android equipped with Tsukino's singing AI named "Lunon."[2][3][4] The character design expresses the two distinct vocal styles, "Sweet" and "Cool," through the colors pink and blue, respectively. Her release date was announced for December 1, and she would be receiving a limited, special-edition package set as an outright purchase option, distributed through Tsukino's official "Lunatic★Melody" BOOTH account, including: a PVC card with Lunon's license code printed on the front, a dedicated mount for the PVC card, a tall case with an outside jacket for the DVD, an acrylic stand, a hologram postcard, advance download privileges for a total of three official demo songs (provided through the "extra file" feature of BOOTH when pre-orders are completed, prior to the release of the official demo song music video, etc.), and an official illustration set (provided in the "extra file" feature of BOOTH at the time of the pre-order completion).[5] Pre-order reservations were set to begin on September 30 and would run until October 31.
In addition to the outright purchase option, as with all previous VoiSona releases, Lunon would also be released as one of Techno-Speech, Inc.'s subscription-based vocalists priced at an annual plan of ¥6600 yen for one-year license (¥6000 yen excluding tax), or ¥880 yen as a monthly license (¥800 yen excluding tax). Lunon was revealed with two demonstrations, both featuring two different singing styles, "Sweet" and "Cool".
