History[]
2022[]
On June 2, 2022 according to Techno-Speech, Inc. representative Tsukada Keisuke, through a DTM Magazine article, a decision was made in collaboration with CeVIO Project and Techno-Speech, Inc. to develop Sato Sasara as a cross-platform vocalist for both CeVIO AI and the newly re-branded vocal synth software, VoiSona. It was announced that the official product version of VoiSona would be released in September and that Sasara would be released at the same time.
As for pricing and subscription fees, Techno-Speech, Inc. planned to set up a preferential plan for CeVIO AI product license holders for the cross-platform voice library and consult with CeVIO Project about Sasara. It was decided that her CeVIO AI Song Voice license holders would be able to receive her for free for the first year and that her regular pricing would begin from the second year going forward.[1]
On August 11, the official VoiSona Twitter announced that VoiSona's product version would be released on September 1 along with its first additional voice library Sato Sasara. Sasara was set to be released via subscription plan and users have the option to choose the annual plan priced at ¥6,600 yen per year or the monthly plan priced ¥880 per month. Users who have already purchased CeVIO AI Sato Sasara Song Voice are able to enter the product key of the same product following the official release date for the VoiSona version of Sasara and can use it for free for one year. The product key input deadline would last until August 31, 2023.[2]
VoiSona's official product version was released officially on September 1 and was originally planned to release alongside both Chis-A and Sasara, however, due to a server failure, sales of Sasara's voice library were postponed and the restoration status was to be announced on VoiSona's official Twitter.[3] Following VoiSona's server maintenance, Sasara was officially released on September 5.[4]
2023[]
On September 1, 2023 it was announced that Sato Sasara's VoiSona voicebank would be offered for free and for an indefinite time to CeVIO AI's library users, only requiring to input the serial of Sasara's CeVIO AI voicebank. This offer is called "special plan".[5]
2024: 2.0 vocoder update[]
On January 22, 2024, Sato Sasara's VoiSona Song and VoiSona Talk voicebanks were updated to version 2.0, incorporating a new vocoder which was also added to the 2.0.0 updates to her CeVIO AI Song and Talk Voices.[6]
