History[]
2022[]
On February 23, 2022, Suzuki Tsudumi was announced to be updating to CeVIO AI with both a Talk and Song Voice. She was also confirmed to be receiving a new design and was expected to release in the latter half of 2022.[1] On July 22, a portion of Tsudumi's CeVIO AI's concept illustration was released alongside an announcement of the release date: September 9.[2]
Tsudumi's first demo, "Gunjou Kouro", released on July 29 by producer irucaice alongside a secondary preview of her final design illustration.[3][4]. Her voice was confirmed in a later tweet to be provided by Japanese actress and voice actress, Inami Anju, and an original song contest hosted by Frontier Works, Inc. was announced to be starting at 12:00 on August 5. A free trial of Tsudumi's Song Voice would be provided for use in the contest. The theme for the contest was "Ao" (あお), which was the official image color of Tsudumi, including content such as "blue sea", "blue sky", and "pale expressions". All genres would be acceptable including but not limited to bright, sad and cool songs. The application period would run from August 5, 2022 (Friday) 12:00 to September 30, 2022 (Friday) 23:59. It was noted that after the start time, users who owned a certified CeVIO AI Song Voice and Song Editor were eligible to install Tsudumi's Song Voice from the "Help" → "Trial Version" option in the menu.[5][6] Further details regarding the prizes and application guidelines were hosted on the official contest website.[7]
On August 12, Tsudumi's full CeVIO AI illustration was released alongside details about her Song Voice. She would have four purchase options available including Song Voice only and Starter Pack download-only options including;
- CeVIO AI Suzuki Tsudumi Talk Voice, ¥8,778 yen (tax included)
- CeVIO AI Suzuki Tsudumi Song Voice, ¥10,780 yen (tax included)
- CeVIO AI Suzuki Tsudumi Talk Starter, ¥16,918 yen (tax included)
- CeVIO AI Suzuki Tsudumi Song Starter, ¥19,580 yen (tax included)
A sample demonstration of Tsudumi's CeVIO AI Talk Voice was uploaded on August 19. Two presets named "Cool" (クール) and "Shy" (照れ編) were showcased.[8]
Pre-order reservations were announced to be accepted at Vector PC Shop and DLsite from September 2 to September 8. On the following day, beginning from September 9 and running through to September 16, a commemorative sale celebrating the release would be held at each respective shop. Tsudumi released for CeVIO AI on September 9 as a digital download through Vector PC Shop, DMM GAMES, and DLSite respectively. Starter Pack options with the CeVIO AI Talk Editor and CeVIO AI Song Editor were released alongside it.[9]
2024: 2.0 vocoder update[]
On February 22, 2024, Suzuki Tsudumi's Song Voice and Talk Voice were updated to version 2.0.0, now incorporating the new vocoder first used on first-party VoiSona Song and VoiSona Talk voicebanks; her own VoiSona Song and VoiSona Talk were also updated with the new vocoder.[10]
