Tohoku Itako (東北イタコ) is a Japanese Song Voice developed by AH-Software Co. Ltd. in collaboration with SSS LLC., and was released for CeVIO AI in January 2022.[1][2] She was originally introduced as Tohoku Zunko's older sister and did not make her synthesizer debut until her UTAU release in June 2015. She later received a Talk voicebank for VOICEROID2 November 2018 and was also released for NEUTRINO in September 2020. She later received a text-to-speech voicebank for VOICEPEAK in October 2023 and a singing voice library for VoiSona in June 2024.[3]
Her voice provider is Ibuki Kido (木戸衣吹).
Concept[]
Itako is a college graduate from Itako Technical School, she graduated at the top of her class and is 19 years old, her birthday is June 24.
Much like her sister Zunko, she has a happy and bubbly personality, she likes going outside and she dreams of making her younger sister Zunko a Japanese idol, and to promote her business. Her other dream is to fully return the spirit and power of the nine-tailed fox trapped inside her body. Itako also earned a few nicknames, Zunko calls her "Itako-nee-sama," while Kiritan calls her "Tako-nee-sama." Itako calls Zunko "Zun-chan," and calls Kiritan "Kiri-chan."
She also likes to do ritual-like hobbies of possessing the deceased. She tends to add a "nyaa," at the end of her sentences whenever she calls any spirits, Itako helps her sisters make zunda mochi, her part is to develop the produce.
Itako also has a little cat ghost friend kept inside her body.[4]
Etymology[]
Her first name, Itako, can be referred to as a deceased corpse that can be possessed by oneself and others, and is able to speak. Her last name, Tohoku, is inspired by the Tohoku region in Japan.
Appearance[]
Tohoku Itako is a fox girl with long whitish-gray hair tied into a ponytail. In her hair is a pink bow and two spherical barrettes. Her eyes are bright purple. She wears a white kimono-like tunic over a violet, black, and white skirt. Draped on her shoulders is a pink see-through ribbon. The sleeves of her kimono bear a blue flame decoration on the hem. Fastened around her waist is a black, pink, and green obi bound by a red flower shaped obijime. Her footwear consists of black zori with white tabi.
