U-Stella Inc. (株式会社U-Stella), also simply known as U-Stella (ユーステラ) is a Japanese production company specializing in voice work, Vtuber production, VRSNS 3D avatar production, and Live2D character development and sales.
Etymology[]
The "U" in U-Stella Inc. is the "U" in their company mascot, Uray-chan's, name, and represents "You" meaning that U-Stella will move forward with their customers. The "U" also represents "Useful" in that their goal is to maximize the performance of all of their members by consolidating with a small number of elites and plans to "challenge next-generation technologies with high individual business skills and strong individuality."
"Stella" (which means "star" in Italian) means "a star that illuminates a dark night, providing a sense of security and healing in a space alone".[1]
History[]
U-Stella Inc. was founded in March, 2019 and began working in the virtual reality field. Their company mascot is U-ray Chan (ユーレイちゃん), who received a Voidol voice model on May 21, 2021.[2] On August 6, U-Stella Inc. released a Voidol library for another of their original characters FEE.[3]
A Talk Voice library for FEE was in production for CeVIO AI and released on November 26, 2021.
In March of 2023, U-Stella underwent management reforms leading to the departure of most of the company's employees. It is now operated solely by a husband and wife couple.[4]
