UNI (ユニ, also known as UNI-chan ユニちゃん, codename: CCD-0001) is a Japanese Talk Voice and upcoming Song Voice developed by U-Stella Inc. in collaboration with Techno-Speech, Inc.. Her Talk Voice was released for CeVIO AI in April 2024. Her Song Voice release date is currently unknown.

Her voice provider is the Japanese voice actress and singer Kohara Riko (小原莉子).

Concept

UNI is conceptualized as an early model 'Caricature' (カリカチュア)" android, numbered CCD-0001, the original of the CCD series as well as being the older sister of FEE, another Caricature android created by U-Stella Inc.. The UNI model had many defects (especially in terms of personality) that made it unsuitable for public release, so it was frozen. However, due to a mistake made during the cryogenic process, her consciousness did not shut down completely, resulting in her awakening over a long period of time. After awakening, UNI escaped from her home at ATOMO STUDIO HQ and had a chance encounter with "you". Unlike the research staff, UNI was intrigued by your willingness to face her head-on, without any preconceived notions, and forced you to sign a master contract with her half-heartedly.. UNI is noted to have a curious personality who travels a lot, and sometimes wishes that she had a home to return to. She likes hamburgers, freedom, and travelling and dislikes restraints, buying clothes on the internet only to find that they're not as advertised, and things that annoy her. Her abilities include being a saishokukenbi (才色兼備), a woman who is both beautiful and intelligent. detecting pufferfish poison, radar jamming and deception, magnetic recording device repair function and etc. as well as having many abilities that FEE doesn't have. As a special skill, she is able to tell the strength of the claw machine at the arcade.

She was illustrated by Kokage Tomori, a character designer from Japan.

Appearance

UNI is an android with the appearance of an eighteen-year-old young woman. She has short bleach blonde hair with hot pink highlights. Her eyes are bright pink. In her hair is a silver clip with a red stripe. Her nails are painted the same color pink as her highlights. She wears a black sleeveless top with a thick black metallic hem, and “0001 CCD-PROJECT UNI” printed on the front atop a white-collared, pink bra, only visible in concept artwork. The sides of the top are laced with ribbon, the ribbon on the right side is black, and the one on the left is hot pink. Around her abdomen is a black belt. She has a black coat that she wears around her shoulders. It has a white collar, a pink interior, and silver diamond shaped buttons. On her left shoulder is a black barcode. Her white and black detached sleeves have hot pink hems, buttons, and interiors, and a sort of checkered pattern on lower half of the sleeve.

Her pleated skirt is black and gray plaid with triangular fringe. UNI’s over-the-knee socks are black with similar trim like that of her skirt. The right sock has a white diamond pattern around the knee, while her left sock has a triangular cutout on the lower thigh. Her boots are black with hot pink soles, and white shafts with black straps, with a tiny black triangle. According to concept artwork, she has visible robotic lines on her abdomen.
