Ui (雨衣 | うい) is a Japanese Song Voice developed by INCOLORE in collaboration with Techno-Speech, Inc. based on the Virtual YouTuber, Shigure Ui. She released for VoiSona in May 2025.
Her voice is provided by the Virtual YouTuber, Shigure Ui.
Concept[]
Ui is a 14-year-old girl based on the voice and appearance of the Virtual YouTuber, Shigure Ui. She is a Virtual Singer who loves fluffy things.
Etymology[]
Ui's name comes directly from her voice provider's name but without the surname "Shigure". However, the kanji for Ui's name "雨衣" can be read as "Amekoromo" meaning raincoat, which is what she is referred by most.
Appearance[]
Ui was designed to be somewhat opposite of Shigure Ui.[1] Ui has a short, white, hair in a bob with bangs and small pigtails on the sides of her head held by white pompoms. Her eyes are red and described as slanted and droopy.
Ui wears a high school uniform which is consists of a black pleated skirt with gray stripes, a black beret with blue edges and a sailor fuku style blazer. The blazer shares the skirt's pattern, along with a blue ribbon and white pompoms on the collar and a small gold button below. Her collar and arm cuffs are both white with one black stripe. On her feet she wears blue mid-calf socks with white pompoms and black ribbons, along with black school shoes. In her left hand, Ui carries a blue umbrella with a white handle.
Ui was illustrated by her voice provider, Virtual YouTuber and Japanese illustrator Shigure Ui.

The Standard Edition package[2][3] of Ui's physical VoiSona release included a selection of merchandise featuring: a reversible outer DVD sleeve picturing Ui,[4] a Shigure Academy Junior High Student ID-style Card, which also functions as the license card containing the activation serial code for her Song Voice,[5] a student notebook-style booklet that includes an interview page with Shigure Ui,[6] a pair of profile ID cards in two different designs, a self-introduction design and a blank design allowing the purchaser to fill in their own profile to compare them,[7] and a sheet of Ui-themed stickers.[8]
An original 3D model created for MikuMikuDance (MMD) was produced for Ui and was released on May 30, 2025 on her official BOOTH account.[9][10]
A set of collaborative "Shigure Ui × Ui"-themed acrylic stands and hard-cover card holders were released to commemorate Ui's first birthday celebration.[11][12] A slight delay in shipping was noted for those who had purchased the card holders from the official BOOTH account.[13]
A "3D LIVE" performance, titled Internet・Girl・Birthday (インターネット・ガール・バースデー) was held to commemorate Shigure Ui's 2025 birthday celebration, to which she performed alongside Ui.[14][15][16]
A collaboration with the Japanese production company SuperGroupies was launched releasing an official replica of Ui's signature beret, including a matching towel handkerchief.[17][18]
In celebration of Ui's half-anniversary, since her debut, a song and illustration contest was launched themed around Ui.[19]
