Yamada Kanon (山田 花音, やまだ かのん) is a Japanese Song Voice developed by KONAMI Digital Entertainment in collaboration with Techno-Speech, Inc., and was released for VoiSona in April 2024.[1] She is a member of the LAUGH DiAMOND series.
Her voice is provided by Ibuki Kido ((木戸衣吹), a Japanese voice actress.
Concept[]
Yamada Kanon is noted to be a "Fushigi-chan" (不思議ちゃん)[2], putting on an air of eccentricity with the peculiar fancy fashion that she dons. She insists that she came from outer space, or that her hair color is natural, but she changes her character setting quite frequently and on a whim. She didn’t stand out much up until middle school, however as she craved attention, she started making her character settings and cosplay during high school.
She considers her surname, Yamada, to lack cuteness and dislikes being called by it. Her favorite food is "unicorn food".[3]
Yamada Kanon is noted as having an energetic, cheerful, anime stylized voice with a characteristic nasal tone at word-ends and a vocal hiccup. She can confidently sing songs from a wide array of genres, but she is especially fit for J-POP, Rock, and Anime songs. If she is asked to sing outside of her recommended vocal range, her voice sounds a little forced like a natural voice, but her pitch won't be too far off.
A characteristic point of LAUGH DiAMOND is that creating unit songs comprised of multiple singers, such as duets and trios are made simple. Each voice retains its uniqueness and blends into a beautiful unison.[4]

Yamada Kanon along with the other LAUGH DiAMOND series vocalists: Takamura Hibiki, Kazamatsuri Asahi, and Komurasaki Momoka, were announced and released on April 1, 2024. As a member of the group, she was among the first to receive various promotional material such as character profiles, and reference images.[5][6]
