Ying Can (瑛璨 Yīng Càn, インツァン Intsan) is a Mandarin Chinese Song Voice developed by Chorical LLC in collaboration with Techno-Speech, Inc., and is the first commercially available Mandarin Chinese vocalist for VoiSona.[1] She released in April 2025.
Her voice provider has not been revealed.
Concept[]
Prior to her debut, Ying Can was introduced as "A Shiny Pearl" in Chorical LLC's first quarter roadmap, described as having a "voice as radiant as a crystal" that "embodies Chorical's vision for versatility and creativity in vocal synthesis." It was clarified that she was not a part of the company's Color Spectrum Series.[2] Upon her debut, she was described as a "bubbly new singer" referencing the colorful bubbles surrounding her key illustration.[3]
According to Ying Can's webpage, she is a cheerful virtual singer whose life's calling is to make music for others. She was described to be not very bright and considered to be ditzy, but her heart's radiance is known to bring a smile to even the grumpiest of individuals. Her favorite season is spring for its blooming flowers and her favorite drink is strawberry boba tea. She likes bubbles due to their colorant and resemblance to the sheen of pearls. Her Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI; a personality type) is ESFP (also known as the "entertainer"), which describes people who are spontaneous, resourceful, and enthusiastic. Her Chinese zodiac sign is the Dog.
Etymology[]
The character "Ying" (瑛; yīng) means "luster" in relation to gems and crystals, especially jade. The character "Can" (璨; càn) also means "luster" and "beautiful", also in relation to gems, crystals, and jade. It can also mean "bright" and "beaming". Thus, Ying Can's name means "a luster of (bright and beaming) beautiful gems". This may be related to her theme of bubbles and interest in pearls.

Ying Can's design consists of mainly blue and pink to reference the sheen and colors of bubbles, her main theme.
Ying Can was illustrated VOFAN (ヴォーハン), also known by his real name Yuanheng Dai (戴源亨; Dài Yuánhēng), a Taiwanese illustrator known for illustrating the E-Capsule Co. Ltd promotional illustration for the VOCALOID2 voicebank Sweet ANN, as well as providing official illustrations for the Taiwanese VOCALOID3 and VOCALOID4 (Japanese-only) versions of Xin Hua and the official illustration for Synthesizer V Studio Kyomachi Seika. She was also designed by toeknee, SELENA's key illustrator, and Infoholic, the CEO of Chorical LLC.
